Hi, I’m Matthew.
I live in Sykesville, Maryland, and I started True Square Marketing to help the local businesses around me get found online. A lot of great contractors in our area do excellent work but are hard to find on Google, or have a profile that has not been touched in years. That is a fixable problem.
Based in Sykesville. I’ll come to your shop. I’m happy to meet in person anywhere in Carroll or Howard County, whether that’s your office, your shop, or a job site.
I work only with home-service contractors in these two counties. That focus means I get to know your trade and your area, and you always deal directly with me, not an account team. My prices are posted on this site, and plans are month to month, so you always know what you’re paying and why.

Straight answers
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. There’s no setup fee, and plans are month to month with no minimum, so you stay because it’s working, not because a contract says you have to. If it isn’t working for you, cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice.
Why not a bigger agency?
A bigger agency can be the right fit for some businesses. Here’s what’s different about working with me: you deal directly with the owner, not an account team. I live in Sykesville and can meet you in person. My prices are posted right on this site, so there’s no guessing what a quote will be. Plans are month to month, and you can cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice. And I work only with home-service contractors in Carroll and Howard County, so all of my attention goes to the kind of work you do and the towns you serve.
What do you need from me?
About an hour at the start: access to your Google Business Profile (we will walk you through it), some job photos, your service list, and the towns you want to work in. After that, a quick text when you finish a job so we can ask that customer for a review.
How fast will I see results?
It depends on your starting point and your competition, and anyone who promises a ranking by a certain date is guessing. Profile and review work usually builds over a few months. Ads can start bringing in calls sooner, because you are paying to be shown.
How does ad spend work?
Ad spend is the money paid to Google or Meta to show your ads. It is separate from our monthly fee, and you set the budget. We will recommend a starting amount on our call and you can change it any time.
I already have a website. Do I need a new one?
Not necessarily. If your site works well on a phone and makes it easy to call you, we will work with it. If it is holding you back, we can build a new one as an add-on.
Do you work with businesses outside Carroll and Howard County?
Our focus is Carroll and Howard County so we can really know the local market. If you are nearby, book a call and we will tell you honestly whether we are a good fit.
